Grammar[edit]

Right. English isn't my first language, and I've never learned an "official" english. All that I know about this langiage is what I learned at school and with Videogames. About the letters where didn't shpuld be, I am at my smartphone all time, and the letters are little. Sorry. {{User:Ashley anEoTselkie/sig})

It's OK, no worries. CrashBash (talk) 11:47, 18 December 2013 (EST)

Ganondorf[edit]

If you go to 00:45 in this video, look for Pickachu and for a brief second, Ganondorf's off-screen icon pops up. Unfortunately, this is all because Nintendo would make sure not to put in any unannounced characters, but when recording this video, one of the opponents was Ganondorf. Nope, Ganondorf isn't there. Pikachu is clearly fighting Charizard, Olimar and Sonic. CrashBash (talk) 13:15, 30 August 2014 (EDT)

OK here is the video: Click here! It is still at 00:56 in the middle left. Artwork of Bowser in Fortune Street (also used in Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games)M a r i oArtwork of the Lucky Seven symbol.(talkϟedits) 13:29, 30 August 2014 (EDT)
Oh there is no way you can SEE that's Ganondorf. It's too small and too low quality. Leave it for the time being. CrashBash (talk) 13:32, 30 August 2014 (EDT)

Edit War[edit]

I have noticed that there is an edit war between you and Mario7 within the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U article. An edit war occurs when two or more users constantly revert each other edits. I'd like to let you know, edit warring is counterproductive to our wiki's goals and therefore is against the rules. What is always the better choice is to contact Mario7 (talk) or make a new section within the article talk page like this one. Otherwise, you and other users engaged in the war may receive a warning, or, if it's bad enough, a temporary block, so try to avoid it if you can! Thanks and enjoy your stay in the wiki. :) Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 15:42, 30 August 2014 (EDT)

Sorry. Taking up the talk page was my intention, but it kept getting changed back before I could get there. CrashBash (talk) 16:12, 30 August 2014 (EDT)
Oh, don't worry if your edit gets reverted. In fact, just stop reverting and the vicious cycle vanishes. Once you reach an agreement, THEN you can make the appropriate edits. Duck hunt[edit]

I apologize for the edits but every article and person iv come across about it has called it, listed it as the Duck Hunt Dog, although i may say it apparently involves the duck so it may be the appropriate name. - Cubeguy2ver.pngCubeguy(talk)

But there are videos of the Japanese version that clearly show the name "Duck Hunt". That's what I meant by official. CrashBash (talk) 18:54, 11 September 2014 (EDT)

User[edit]

Aren't you the same user as this? BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 15:02, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

The answer to that appears to be yes, but I assure you this is not intentional. I honestly don't know how I've ended up with two accounts, so....sorry. CrashBash (talk) 15:29, 1 October 2015 (EDT)
you should probably sort it out with the administration before something bad happens because two accounts aren't allowed here BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 22:38, 1 October 2015 (EDT)

Your removal of Sonic Retro and NWiki links[edit]

First of all it is official in atleast some way as the administrators of this site has decided to make it a, I don't know what it is called but they have deliberatly made so that [[Sonicretro:Sonic the Hedgehog]] links to Sonicretro:Sonic the Hedgehog. So it is official in some way. And secondly, no it is NOT obbvious that it is not official because that is simply wrong. Have a look around and you'll find these links on almost all sonic pages as well and if you still have any probmlems with that we can simply ask an administrator to resolve the issue. --Raltseye (talk) 16:14, 9 April 2016 (EDT)

It is not official. Simple as. Stop saying it is when it clearly isn't. CrashBash (talk) 17:07, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
If the staff have decided to add a link prefix, namely Sonicretro, that links to http://info.sonicretro.org/ is not considered official then please tell me what is then considered official in your definition? --Raltseye (talk) 17:17, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
Because it's a fansite, and not a wiki. And we already have a link to a wiki. Simple as. I mean, look at MegaMan's page. We have a link to his respective wiki, and that's it. No other fansites. CrashBash (talk) 17:19, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
And a wiki is not maintained by fans? You have still not answered my question. Like I said if someone in the staff has decided to add a link prefix to that site then it is as official as it can be end of discussion. --Raltseye (talk) 17:25, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
But like I said, it's not a wiki. It's just a fansite, nothing more. And we already have a link to a site that is not only an actual wiki, but (more importantly) actually has information. I've checked the links, and when I actually got them to work, they had virtually no information on them whatsoever. In other words, they are pointless, they add nothing that the Sonic News Network, I.E. the Sonic wiki does so much better. Like I said, we just have one link on MegaMan's page, and it's to a wiki, not a fansite. And I'd rather a link lead to proper information rather than relative nothing. CrashBash (talk) 17:28, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
And that's where you're wrong it "is" a wiki in the sense that it uses MediaWiki, just like that makes us a wiki, and fansite yes but that is like every site ever dedicated to anything mario or sonic as long as it is not run by a company. That is the definition and like I have said before it is official here since it has its own link prefix, what you think of that has nothing to do with this and if you cared so much for that please take it up with the staff here. --Raltseye (talk) 17:38, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
Nevertheless, Sonic News Network actually provides far superior information. Sonic Retro tells you NOTHING about the game. Your posting the links to the Rio 2016 games which tells you nothing is pointless when SNN does it so much better. Simple as. CrashBash (talk) 17:41, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
Just for the record I did not add much of these they wore there to begin with, not on the Rio 20!6 games, but on other pages, I just tried to fix them so that they used link prefix and now you have removed them all. I'll add them all back in the morning. Like I said what you think of the content on those sites is not relevant you should discuss that with the staff instead. --Raltseye (talk) 17:51, 9 April 2016 (EDT)
No you won't. CrashBash (talk) 17:53, 9 April 2016 (EDT)

Bureaucrat here. I saw this pop-up in the recent changes and I think I need to set a few records straight.

Sonic Retro is a wiki. It runs on Mediawiki and registering gives you the ability to edit most pages. Furthermore, it's clearly linked to as a piece of companion reading and not as a source, so removing links to it on the ground it's "not official" is bogus reasoning.

If you think the Sonic wikia is that much better, then ok. Since Mariowiki is part of NIWA, we should do our best to link to independant wikis instead of wiki farms, but Sonic Retro is not an affiliate of NIWA and it doesn't have an affiliation deal with us (that I can find, anyway) so that can be discussed - either by means of the proposal page, the main page talk or by contacting an admin with your proposal

The key word in the previous sentence is discuss. Unless there's exceptional circumstances (like if the site got hacked and it had virus/porn/gore etc), it's completely unacceptable to remove all links to it in the manner you did. It's also similarly unacceptable to throw a tempter tantrum when this is pointed out you, move the goalposts when it's pointed out to you your reasoning is factually wrong, or actively refuse to discuss the issue further, as you did in your last message. As a result, if I don't see you revert all of your removals of Sonicretro and Segaretro links as the first edits you do after receiving this message, you will be tempblocked. This has been discussed and agreed to among the Mariowiki staff.

Edit: Well derp, after checking your edit history, it seems you've already reverted the brunt of your link removals so that ultimatum came a bit late. Still, don't do this. --Glowsquid (talk) 18:36, 9 April 2016 (EDT)

The reason I removed it was because, when I saw how completely "empty" the article for Rio 2016 was on SonicRetro (I.E. it has absolutely NOTHING), I assumed it was a non-wiki fansite. Because, y'know, wikis are supposed to have information. That page did not. Seriously, compare the Sonic News Network page for Rio 2016 with SonicRetro, you can clearly see the difference in quality. And the fact it didn't even have "wiki" in its title doesn't help either. When I clicked on another link, the site crashed. Therefore, I was forced to check on the homepage, and of course, that leads to the fansite part, not the wiki part. Therefore, in my mind, SonicRetro was clearly a fansite and I felt I had every right to remove all the links. I also thus assumed that every page would be the same barebones quality the Rio 2016 page was - a rash mistake on my part, I admit, but the only other page I could get to run when I went to start deleting the other links was Charmy, which was also very bare-boned and non-wiki-set-up. I do not think it is really my fault that the website barely works properly. I apologise for making early assumptions, but you can at least understand why I made them, right? CrashBash (talk) 02:16, 10 April 2016 (EDT)

Your removal of SmashWiki links[edit]

Do I really have to go through this with you again? What about SmashWiki is it that you have a problem with this time? It does not matter if they are not a playable character or not, the point is that they have an article about that so we link there. Simple as that. --Raltseye (talk) 09:53, 10 April 2016 (EDT)

Because I was specifically told that it does matter. You can see an edit description stating this. Read them for once. CrashBash (talk) 09:57, 10 April 2016 (EDT)

Adding "you"[edit]

What's wrong with the "you"s . Why can't it be added? But I won't do it again. Marole3 22:37 July 24, 2016

Because it's the rules. [1] CrashBash (talk) 10:03, 25 July 2016 (EDT)

Message Reminder[edit]

Please stop changing other user's messages on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

That was kind of the point what Marole3 (talk) did with the italics. He didn't know how to use them. Please don't correct other people's messages. They will fix them on their own if necessary. Adding two '' at the end of his or start of yours would've solved the "problem". Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:36, 25 August 2016 (EDT)

I only did that to help the guy out...otherwise the rest of the talk page would be all italics. CrashBash (talk) 01:29, 26 August 2016 (EDT)
I know you were trying to help, but it's a general rule not to edit other user's comments, even if it seems something is off. Like I said, just add two apostrophes to the end of his or start of your comment in order to preserve the original comment. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 14:11, 26 August 2016 (EDT)

Hey, I realize this is old news by now, but just wanted to apologize for this. Apparently, you can edit other user's comments if something is wrong, such as a coding error like you did (it also says to issue a {{warning}}, so I'm glad I didn't do that). I didn't know that then as I just learned of the exception to that rule. So, yeah, sorry about this. Feel free to appeal or ask an admin to remove or ignore it or whatever. Reporting Questionable Edits By IP or User[edit]

It's better to just report questionable edits here. All admins look at that, giving a better chance to deal with such edits sooner. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 02:29, 12 September 2016 (EDT)

Removal of information[edit]

Hi there. It is best to not "call the shots" on removing information that may potentially be valid, based on the opinions on other users. I will revert your edit, because it would be best that you seek a discussion on the talk page first. Thanks.

Quick Question[edit]

I just noticed another account with a similar username to yours, by any chance is this account yours? The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits) A Big Bandit from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. 02:35, 9 November 2016 (EST)

Yes, but I don't use that anymore. I think what happened was that I completely forgot I had that account. CrashBash (talk) 06:31, 9 November 2016 (EST)
