New "Only Block" User Group

As talked about on the main page talk, we need a new user group for just blocking rights. An in-between of sysop & user.

I think these lines in LocalSettings.php takes care of it:

$wgGroupPermissions['patroller']['block'] = true;
$wgGroupPermissions['patroller']['rollback'] = true;
$wgGroupPermissions['patroller']['patrol'] = true;

Collapsible tables

Steve, some navigation templates don't have some esthetic like to qualify as template, because some are too big or another has extrange colors combination. So, it's possible to reorganize those defective templates to create some styles, for example, the Racecourses template should have a Collapsible table property, for reduce all the space that it contains, or at least, compact all this info that it has.

2 Extensions to Consider

• Delete a user permanently from the database. We have some rude names and duplicate accounts that make this useful. Probably bureaucrat-limited
• Oversight. Think: As mentioned on the page, personal information is exposed or something secret comes out accidentally (I know of a case of that in this wiki right now). This is a good thing to keep in handy, and we can limit it to bureaucrats as well.

Well, if there's no personal information, extreme vandalism that's vulgar can be removed. I was thinking possibly an email address was revealed that is supposed to be kept hidden, or some sort of secret between two users that is accidentally hinted or released on a user talk page edit that needs to be kept hush-hush. I updated DynamicPageList. I suggest you make sure it's running at full efficiency. Oversight is installed and revisions can be hid by sysops and patrollers. When looking at a past edit of a page (from the history), there's a new hide revision tab. Hidden revisions can be reviewed at Special:Oversight for sysops only. Delete Users

Can't you do something to delete users with inapprioprate names?F g

This requires that $wgDBadminuser and $wgDBadminpassword are set up in AdminSettings.php If there is a problem running the script, use the table definition in patroller.sql to create the table in the database

Sortable Tables

It means to add the image code to the page using actual information to display an image. So for example you would use:

To display the image on the right:

1.11 & User Smilies

Maintenance update MediaWiki 1.11 is not released yet, even though MediaWiki 1.11 is currently running on all Wikimedia sites (since January 2007), see these notes about the "continuous integration" development model with quarterly snapshot releases. Third-party users should probably not use the development version to run a public site unless paying close attention to development and ongoing releases, and unless really keeping up with fixes. If you want to grab and install the latest development version, read Download from SVN as appropriate. [5]

The proposal that requires FlaggedRevs will be finished tomorrow and should be improved. I was planning to start without the extension, though difficult, but does this mean you can get a beta version of 1.11 and make it work? Or are we one of those 3rd-party groups (even though we directly use the software) and it is too risky?

I don't update the site until a version is officially released. They release it for people to test and search for bugs and betas are not usually used on mainstream wikis.
