Episode 7: Crusin'

• Board Name: Grand Canal
• Objective: Get 2 stars before your rival does.
• Strategy: The only real strategy I can give is to hope you are near the star

when it pops up. Coins are not hard to get in Solo Cruise, so you are going to need luck to win this one. I would suggest buying Super Mushrooms and Mushrooms even if they are pricey, because the coins will come back to you quickly.

• Board Name: Pagoda Peak
• Objective: Collect 100 coins and race for the mountaintop.
• Strategy: This board should be pretty easy, due to the fact that the computer

always wastes their coins at the orb shop. Just don’t spend your coins on ANYTHING, and get to Master Koopa. If you get to the top befofe you have 100 coins, he will let you hit a coin block, then he will send you back down.

• Board Name: Pyramid Park
• Objective: Find the Star and give it back to the Bowser Sphinx to win.
• Strategy: First of all, do not spend any coins at all, UNLESS you see a Snack

orb at the orb shop. Get to the Chain Chomp closest to the bandit, and then use two dice blocks to get him. The computer can still take the star, so use a Snack orb if you have it. If not, then go as fast as you can. If the computer gets a hold of the star, use the Red Chain Chomp to get it back. A problem here is the three happening spaces near the Sphinx that send you to the other side. Try to get past these with a Mushroom or Super Mushroom, then pay the Whomp to get through and give the star back. Even if you have the star, make sure you have 10 coins or you cannot pay the Whomp.

• Board Name: Neon Heights
• Objective: Find 3 stars inside the treasure chests.
• Strategy: You are going to need coins in this one. Koopa Kid will start

opening the chests at 5 coins, but everytime he opens one of the eight chests, he raises the price by 5 coins. Five of the chests have a star, 3 have Bob-ombs that send you back to start. There is not much advice I can give, just hope you get lucky and get the ones with the stars in them.

• Board Name: Windmillville
• Objective: Fix 3 broken windmills before your rival does.
• Strategy: Never spend coins. There are 8 windmills total. 5 cost 20 coins to

fix, 2 cost 30 coins to fix, one costs 50 coins to fix. There really is no reason to try to get the one that costs 50 coins, so go after the 20 (and if you have to) 30 ones. Just hope you can collect more coins and that you are faster than your opponent.

• Board Name: Bowser’s Enchanted Inferno!
• Objective: Get a star and challenge Bowser to a showdown.
• Strategy: You must go around the islands and buy a star for 20 coins to be

able to challenge Bowser. If you get the star and go to one of the arrows (one on each island) you can face Bowser in a special minigame. Bowser’s Lovely Lift is not a very easy minigame, you are likely to lose a few times. The goal is to get to the 100th floor. If you die on the 50th floor let’s say, once you challenge Bowser again you will start on floor 50 instead of floor 0. But this also gives the CPU an advantage. Once you beat this board, you have beaten Solo Cruise.
