L is an enemy in the Paper Mario series. He is found in all the Paper Mario games, especially in Super Paper Mario where he finds Mario and friends throughout chapters.

Paper Mario
In the game Paper Mario, L was just on a little picture frame in Toad's house at the beginning of the game. For an unknown reason, you must hack the game for this frame to come up. Rumors say that it was taken out in the final version of the game for an unknown reason.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
This was the first physical shot of L.
Hooktail Castle
Right before Mario enters Hooktail's lair, L comes out of a prototype Clown Copter, possibly made by Grodus. He says he was asked by Grodus to stop them from entering Hooktail's lair, witch hints that Grodus wants the Crystal Star before someone else takes it. A quote from L is:
"Grodus asks the prutrid slave to halt all who enters mistress Hooktail lair."
If the player has Goombella out, this causes a continuity problem since Goombella asks "Who are you?" even though she has a full tattle about L.[should be moved to trivia?] After the fight is over and the player wins, L retreats and drops a Save Block.
X-Naut Fortress
When Mario and friends enters the X-Naut Fortress, the first room has L waiting for them. He says this is probably the last time they're ever meet, so he wants to destory them. But this time, before the battle, L uses a potion to get a power up. This time he has a Item Bag to grab random items to use. He also grabs a Zap Tap during the first turn of the battle out of the bag. After the battle is over, he leaves to somewhere else in the lab. This event never happens and was replaced with two Elite X-Nauts going to battle Mario.
After The Game
When the game is beaten, L has no armor on and is in Rougeport. His final statement is that he's going somewhere far away, probably hinting that he'll be in Super Paper Mario.
Super Paper Mario
In Super Paper Mario, L is once again seened following Mario around with Dimentio. Every chapter he is seen before every boss, just giving them something to get scared about. His English is also much better, and is voiced.
Spin-Offs
L has been in numerous Spin-Off titles.
Mario Party 4
L was a playable character in Mario Party 4 until he was taken out in the final version. He was later included in Mario Party 7.
Super Mario Strikers
In this game, L is seen as a playable character in Super Mario Strikers.
Mario Superstar Baseball
L is once again playable in the famous game Mario Superstar Baseball. He was a Speed Type character, and is unlockable by getting atleast 10000 coins in Toy Field in 1-Player mode.

L was demoted in the game Mario Super Sluggers, meaning he is nonplayable. It is unknown why.
Personality
L was hinted to have depression in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door to his tattle. Really nothing is known about him yet.
Future Appreances
L is hinted to be in future games. Right now, nothing is confirmed; except in Paper Mario DS he may be a enemy like he was planned to[citation needed].
