Hi there! Here I'm going to teach you how to make a shoutbox.
What is a shoutbox?
Instead of using plain old messages, have a friend type in a message on your shoutbox so you can see it in your userpage! To have a shoutbox to be edited by a pal, replace the actual page with {{User talk:Username/Shoutbox}}. Do add this on your userpage too.
How to Make One

Moderate it into different things if your not that kinda guy ;).
Basic Rules
- When a user is posting a message, they must add inside the box <~~~> and : at the beginning.
- You can add a ban list to ban users from editing it.
- Remove all messages daily to keep it clean.
