Something weird.[edit]

I was in the Dreamy Pajamaja, and I was going up on the ice pillars. It glitched, and I found myself on the top of the area, normally impossible to get to from where I was.

If you're not sure what triggered the glitch, it's best to assume that the game mucked up on its own. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 21:30, 30 August 2013 (EDT)

Floating Mario Glitch[edit]

While fighting Antasma or Antasma X, if the player dies in the chase scene, Mario may float off the ground.

Mushrise Park Out of Bounds[edit]

This was discovered in the demo but works in the real game too. In the top right most room that you need to destroy rocks for Brickle, under the bridge there is a space where you can walk inside the tree, and jump up/wiggle around to get into the background and roam freely. Here is a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SErC8c2g-wA Warnings: Going too far out of bounds may freeze the game. Be careful not get too close to the bridge when you jump up or else you will get stuck with Mario on top of the bridge and Luigi underneath it. -Satan915

Two glitches[edit]

1) The player must have Luigi possessing a Luiginary Speedometer, then go to fast forward just as they are going to another screen. The Bros. will be closer together than usual. Moving will not fix this, but using the possess command will.

2) The player must be in the Dream World, with Luigi on a ledge and Mario below. Luigi must be under an Attack Piece block. The player must jump with Mario, then Luigi. Mario will teleport next to Luigi. I am not sure whether or not this works with ! blocks, but it doesn't with ? blocks.

Slight issue[edit]

"Broken motion controls" should be moved, since it isn't a freeze glitch.

Abandon Luigi![edit]

The player must perform "Mushrise Park out of bounds" with Mini Mario. If the player goes to the top right corner of the room, there will be a (normally) Mini Mario-only area. The player can then venture without Luigi! Notes: If you want to enter battles, you must jump on the first enemy you battle or the game will freeze. Most cutscenes freeze the game. Some enemy attacks will crash the game.

An issue[edit]

Can someone please clarify the "Standing on water" glitch?

Added major glitches[edit]

In Mushrise Park, and moved the motion controls one to the 'other glitches' section since it's not a freeze glitch.

But I think someone might need to rewrite the descriptions for that and the Mini Mario one a bit. I mean, they're huge bugs in this game, and their effects are very obvious in the video and article, but I'm not the best at explaining how you actually pull them off.

Also, does anyone have evidence that the updated fixed the gyro controls bug?

Motion Controls Glitch[edit]

Hello.

I just wanted to say that I've seen complaints about the game's gyroscope bug on forums, and I've even seen a video of it in action during the Zeekeeper battle. For me, I'm experiencing this problem during the "Repel the Shell" portion of the Giant Bowser battle, where I try to tilt Luigi away from the lava, yet the game doesn't properly register it and instead magnetically pulls Luigi into said lava. This glitch has made it impossible for me to progress past this point in the game, and it's annoyed me to the point where I'm starting to give up all hope of progression. I'd like to know if anyone else is having problems with the gyroscope bug, and how often this seems to occur for them.

It happens a lot. That's why it's listed here in this article and why the Nintendo 3DS Daily post about it has a ton of comments. Discussion of the glitch is also very common online.

So yeah, you're not the only one. Just hang in there, and keep hoping for the best.

Get back from Mini Mario solo adventure[edit]

Simply activate the Mushrise Park glitch, but go south.

To the above guy:

I wish I'd done that the last time I tried this glitch. Bloody save file messed up. Thanks for posting it though, it's great to know!

Underground Golden Beanie[edit]

I was at the area where you save Bedsmith in Dreamy Wakeport, and I saw something really strange. Normally, there is a Golden Beanie in one area, but when I once went into the area, I saw that the Golden Beanie was underground. I found out that if you left the room and came back, the Golden Beanie will be back above ground, but I was still very confused. Can someone explain this?

Mount Pajamaja Teleport Glitch[edit]

After the cutscene where the Massif' Bros push the rock at the entrance, enabling you to get up, the rock teleported up, making it impossible to pass. It went back after turning the 3DS off and on.

Miiverse glitch.[edit]

Random pics getting deleted by admins..........then pics gone.

is that even a dream team glitch though

Toadette

Hmmm, I guess it kind of counts. It has to do with Dream Team, but with it's community, not the game itself. You use the game to cause it, until September 15th, when the only pictures you could do were hand drawn pictures (some are pretty cool on that community, like the ones by Daria and Bedsmith). I guess it's debatable, but I'm not sure if a proposal is necessary. Madz the Penguin (talk) 16:22, 27 November 2014 (EST)

Odd graphics glitch[edit]

In Dozing Sands, I was just playing normally, when I hit a block and THIS insanity happened: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=garr_Wt6Ilo

It appears that the graphics on the bottom screen were unintentionally moved to the top, with the top screen just being a broken background. I have no clue what triggered this, but it was cleared with a simple reset. TmanDaCool1 (talk) 23:12, 25 July 2015 (EDT)

Endless twinkling[edit]

When I was battling the Elite Trio X in the battle medley, I pressed the home menu button when their defeat animation played (stars shooting out of all 3). When I went back to the game, the "twinkling of the stars noise" kept playing during the Pi'illodium battle.

pilloper's basement warp glitch[edit]

in pilloper's house (the pillo collector in wakeport) in the basement when going down the stairs if you used the bros drill move at about 1/4 of the way down the stairs you warp on top of the crate near the entrance.

Softlock on Dreamy Bowser[edit]

Used Luigi's Dropcopter to strike all three parts with the Iron Ball Boots DX. Bowser didn't guard, but an iron ball fell which he DID guard after that happened. . . This did. Also, it's worth noting that I do NOT have any update for the game. 162.237.13.222 17:24, 28 July 2016 (EDT)

A slight problem[edit]

Guys, there is a mistake with the Non-bomb Panic glitch, you put a period instead of a comma. Killer (talk) 20:48, September 2, 2019 (EDT)

Plus I did a glitch and it was possible in Driftwood Shores. Killer (talk) 20:54, September 2, 2019 (EDT)

Antasma battle freeze[edit]

When battling Antasma at the end of the game, once I had beaten it two gift boxes landed on the ground like they normally would, but instead of opening, they just sat there. It turns out I'm stuck, all animations play but nothing else is happening.

If you update the game via Nintendo eShop, this won't happen at all. Mario Sakuraba (talk)
