I do think we should have separate articles for the Fronk species and the character Fronk (9-Volt's pet). This has been done with Toad and Yoshi, so I don't see why not.--

Fronk actually only refers to 8-Volt's pet, as mentioned here; Fronk's friends are unnamed, and although the article states that "Fronk presumably refers to both the species and the character," the keyword is presumably. Also - and I realize this is still an unpopular thing to bring up - but the Toad and Yoshi examples are outdated in Nintendo's current story, and frankly some rewriting to better align things from the both ways "species and character" perspective is long overdue and much-needed. It seems to be localization. For example, here is another instance in Game & Wario's "Islands" game, but there is a key difference between the English and Japanese versions: the former tells you to pick your Fronk color, but the latter is telling you to choose your character and has unique names for each of the Fronk friends, and the line "Launch your Fronks!" is simply "Launch!" instead. Split into Fronk and "Mini Fronk"

Split only explicit appearances of 9-Volt's pet 4-0-1
I think 9-Volt's pet, Fronk, has enough information and distinction to be split from the other of his species, the mini Fronks. However, it's vague the extent 9-Volt's pet appears in the games, so I propose two options: split the appearances which are clearly 9-Volt's pet or also include the appearance of mini Fronks which aren't directly stated to be 9-Volt's pet but have the same appearance as him (yellow, square wave head, glasses, dry mouth).

Splitting the explicit appearances of 9-Volt's pet includes his appearances in 9-Volt's third break scene and Chicken Race in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, the appearances in the Spindex in WarioWare: Twisted!, Game & Wario's character card, the cutscenes, cards, appearance in Sneaky Gamer, and the index in WarioWare Gold, and the appearance in Frenemy Frenzy and 9-Volt's stage cutscene in WarioWare: Get It Together!

Splitting the appearances of the mini Fronks which resemble 9-Volt's pet includes (but not limited to) the above as well as Find My Behind, Blow Hole Bridge, the playable mini Fronk in Sole Man, Dead Simon Says, the WarioWare: Touched! version of Tread Carefully, Escape Artist, the appearance in Shutter, Taxi, and Islands from Game & Wario, Sanitation Station, A Weighty Matter, and Dig It.

At the request of LinkTheLefty, I've added a third option which includes the explicit appearances of 9-Volt's pet and microgame/minigame appearances which has only one mini Fronk that looks like 9-Volt pet. For example, Rock and a Hot Place, Fresh off the Grill, Sole Man will be included since they all include only one mini Fronk that looks like 9-Volt's pet. On the inverse, Oopsy-Daisy, Space Buffet, Sliding Doors, and the Islands minigame won't be included since they include multiple mini Fronks which look like 9-Volt's pet.

If any of these options pass, then a new page titled "Mini Fronk" will be made.

Somethingone (talk) A bunch of micro games have shown that the design used by 9-Volt's pet Fronk isn't unique to him(Oopsy Daisy and Fronk Fishing to name a few), I feel like it'd be speculation to split all the times a Fronk used the yellow design. I do think 9-Volt's pet could be a unique character, and I agree to splitting it due to the points mentioned above, but let's not pull a Pirate Guy and assume Yellow Fronk = 9-Volt's pet because 9-Volt's pet = Yellow Fronk.
3. Hewer (talk) I think the article should be called 'Fronk (species)' rather than 'Mini Fronk', but otherwise, per Somethingone.

The name "mini Fronk" comes from the descriptions of "The Claw" and "Tread Carefully" in WarioWare Gold, though Super Smash Bros. Ultimate refers to them as "Fronks" in a spirit. It also appears that his Japanese name originally referred to the character instead of a species, but that no longer seems to be the case. I'm not sure which one, if any, is used for the species in the newer Get It Together! game. For the proposal: can we have a third option for more generalized character appearances? It'd fall somewhere between the current proposal options by including Blow Hole Bridge, Sole Man, Dead Simon Says, Escape Artist, Shutter and Taxi (if only one can appear at once), but not Find My Behind, Tread Carefully, Islands, Sanitation Station, A Weighty Matter, or Dig It. You can argue that the first option is more technically correct, but that's a broader-scope discussion as this is closer to how character/species splits are usually handled; either way, the second option might cause a repeat of Toad's "possible appearances" section.
