Little Mouser
From the Super Mario Wiki
This article is about the species known as "Little Mousers", or occasionally "Squeeks". For information about the "Little Mouser" character from Paper Mario, see here. For information about the Wario's Woods enemy, "Squeaks", see here.
Little Mousers, also known as Squeeks are a species of small, mice-like creatures who wear bandannas that obscure their faces. Judging from their English name, one would think that Little Mousers are relatives of Mouser of Super Mario Bros. 2. However, their Japanese name, Chu-san, defies that notion, which is why they have been renamed in later games.

[edit] History
[edit] Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
The first appearance of Little Mousers was in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, were they appeared infrequently as enemy creatures who would try to steal a Yoshi's egg and scurry away with it, into their burrows.

Little Mousers later appeared in Mario Kart Super Circuit as obstacles in the Cheese Land course.
[edit] Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Little Mousers were renamed Squeeks and were shown to be one of the primary inhabitants of Rogueport and Rogueport Sewers; a white Squeek, known as Ms. Mowz also appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door as an optional partner of Mario.
[edit] Mario Party Advance
A recent appearance of a Little Mouser was in Mario Party Advance, where a Little Mouser named Mouser appears as the boss and owner of the Duel Tower.
[edit] New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Little Mousers reappear in the game New Super Mario Bros. Wii where they are found in Ghost Houses. They are troublesome and run quite fast. When Mario or a teammate approaches, they stop scuttling and start jumping in place. When they leave, they continue scuttling. In this game, they appear to be white and have huge buck teeth. If one is stomped, all nearby Mousers will run in panic.
