The Spiky Question Block is a type of block first found in New Super Mario Bros. This block is similar to a regular ? Block, however it has spikes at the top. It rapidly spins around, having the player to time their jump in order to avoid getting hurt. Hitting the block from below or Ground Pounding on the top will turn the block into an Used Block and the spikes will disappear. The block appears in World 6-3, where four of them are seen. Three of them with an item and one with a coin.
