Punches are small creatures that oppose Wario. They wear football helmets that conceal their entire body and wield a pair of boxing gloves to attack their opponents. Because of their appearance, their size and their association with the Black Sugar Pirates, it is likely that they are in fact a sub-species of the Gooms. Punches have only appeared in Wario Land II so far.

[edit] Role in Wario Land II

Punches are members of the Black Sugar Gang in this game. Along with the Pirate Gooms they are one of the most encountered enemies of the game. Their attack pattern mostly resembles that of a Pirate Goom, meaning that they walk from side to side and try to attack Wario with their respective weapon. Getting hit by a Punch's attack will cause Wario to lose some coins.
