The Nintendo Power 20th Anniversary Comic is a comic featured in the 231st issue of Nintendo Power.

[edit] Plot Synopsis

The comic begins with Nester playing Mario Kart Wii with the use of the Wii Wheel and apparently having carpal tunnel from playing. Nester's son then walks in mentioning that the Nintendo Powers 20th Anniversary issue just came in the mail. Nester is surprised to find to out it has already been twenty years since the first Nintendo Power issue came out. The two of them sit down and begin to look through the magazine. Nester is surprised to find that all the old systems are in the magazine and begins to tell his son that the Nintendo Entertainment System was named after him. Nester continues to brag to his son that in the "good old days" there was no internet to solve all your problems. His son then remarks "Then what were all your old strategy guides for?" Nester continues to say that he holds the record for the most calls to the Nintendo Game Counselor Hotline. His son responds by asking whats so great about needing a bunch of Supergeeks to tell you how to beat a game. Nester warns him to watch the name calling remarking thats how he met his wife. Nester's son continues to look through the magazine mentioning that he couldn't ever imagine playing all those old games without motion control. Nester then says that the NES invented motion control upon bringing out the Power Glove. Nester's son says that it looks pretty dorky. Nester tells him to say that again after seeing this baby in the greatest movie of all time The Wizard. After the movie ends Nester mentions that he still gets goosebumps when they play Super Mario Bros. 3 at the end and continues to say that, that reminds him that he has the Super Mario Bros. Movie somewhere in the house. Nester's son (desperately finding a way out of watching another movie) points to the Virtual Boy. Enthused that his son is interested Nester begins to talk about the Virtual Boy. Nester's son then asks if they are gonna play some "kart" (obviously referring to Mario Kart Wii). Nester then asks if he can beat him without using a POW Block this time then his son explains how to avoid them. The comic then ends with the two facing off in a match of Mario Kart Wii.

Nester is an adult human apparently living in the real world. Nester is obviously a fan of Nintendo and has many Nintendo collectibles. Nester has orange hair that is spiky is the front. Nester also has blue eyes, and a short goatee. Nester has only been wearing a short sleeved blue shirt with red sleeves. Nester is also seen wearing black jeans. Nester also has a son. Nester may also infact be a grown up version of Nester from the Howard & Nester comics.

[edit] Nester's Son

Nester's Son is an adolescent human apparently living in the real world. Nester is a fan of Nintendo like his father but is more accepting of the Wii and like said before he cant imagine playing games without motion control. Nester's son is seen wearing a brown and green hoodie with a gray sweatshirt underneath. Nester's son has orange hair like his father's and blue eyes.
