Meteor Smash

A Meteor Smash is an attack in the Super Smash Bros. series that causes the enemy to fly downwards when hit. Because of this, they are usually difficult, though not impossible, to recover from. Examples of meteor smashes include Captain Falcon's Raptor Boost in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl and the Footstool Jump in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
