MarioWiki:Web Hosting
From the Super Mario Wiki
Since upgrading the site to a dedicated server, we have a lot of free hosting space to offer and need more ways to pay for the monthly cost of the server. Because of this, we are now offering paid web hosting to account for hosting fees. We can't offer completely competitive prices, though, because many hosting companies pack up to hundreds of clients on a single server and offer very low prices. We want to make sure that the server will always be running in top condition, so after a certain number of clients are hosted we'll stop accepting people. We're not looking to make a profit off of this, just to pay back the cost of the server, which is currently $250 a month.
We are very flexible when it comes to hosting plans and costs, which is why we don't have anything laid out. We'll find out what you need and then work out a plan and a monthly fee that fits us both. Keep in mind that we only offer hosting to those who have their own domain name. We'll tell you what to set your domain nameservers to, which will point the domain name to your hosting account on our server. Each account includes the following:
- MySQL databases
- phpMyAdmin
- Subdomains
- Addon domains
- Parked domains
- FTP accounts
- Email accounts
- Web-based email (Horde, SquirrelMail)
- Catch-all (default) email account
- Email auto-responders
- Mailing lists
- Email forwarding

- BoxTrapper Spam Trap
- Webalizer Web/FTP stats

So if you think you're interested, send us an email and let us know how much storage and bandwidth you think you'll need. We can then work out the details of your account, and decide on a price. Questions are always welcome, too.
