Goom

A Goom is a small oval-shaped creature with two feet. Many varieties of Gooms have appeared throughout the Wario Land series. These creatures are known to work for the Black Sugar Pirates (formally known as the Brown Sugar Pirates) under the command of Captain Syrup, one of Wario's first antagonists. Interestingly, Gooms resemble the similarly named Goombas from the Mario series. Both are extremely weak, have similar attack mannerisms, and have very similar bodies (especially Gooms and the "round" Goombas from Super Mario World). However, unlike the Goomba, no basic Goom has ever appeared in a game; only variants such as the Pirate Goom and Wanderin' Goom have shown up. Basic Goombas, on the other hand, have appeared in video games alongside with their various sub-species.
