Ghost Ropes are long, rope-like ghosts encountered in the game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.

In Donkey Kong Country 2 Ghost Ropes are only encountered in the level "Ghostly Grove", which is the first level in the area Gloomy Gulch. Here Ghost Ropes appear and constantly disappear, Diddy and Dixie Kong must use Ghost Ropes like normal ropes to cross Ghostly Grove's various large abysses. If the Ghost Rope Diddy and Dixie are currently on disappears they will fall, so they must hop from Ghost Rope to Ghost Rope quickly. As the level progresses, Ghost Ropes appear and disappear even faster.

Creatures similar to Ghost Ropes, conjecturally called Ghost Barrels appear in Donkey Kong Country 2's sequel, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.
