Black Ice Blitz is the tenth level in Donkey Kong Land III. Located in the mountains, in the north of the Primate Plains, it is the fourth level in this area, as well as the first "Snow" level. Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong have to ride a Toboggan through a series of snowy plateaus, jumping over pits and chasms. The rooves of snow-capped chalets can serve as additional platforms. Skiddas, Krimps and Knik-Knaks will be standing in the Kongs' way, but they can easily be defeated by crushing them with the Toboggan. The most dangerous enemies here are Buzzes, since they cannot be jumped on, unlike in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. This level's Koin, as well as the second Bonus Barrel, can only be reached by using a hidden Barrel Cannon, located right above the end flag.
"Black Ice Blitz" can be considered a shorter, easier equivalent of the level "Tearaway Toboggan" from Donkey Kong Country 3.

- A level from Donkey Kong Country 2, Black Ice Battle, has a name similar to "Black Ice Blitz". However, as regards the gameplay, these two levels are very different.
