3D Game
From the Super Mario Wiki
A 3D game is an adventure where players can travel in any direction. Mario's first 3D game was Super Mario 64, and it was very successful. Since then, Mario has appeared in many more 3D Games. Most 3D games Mario is in is not platforming however. Mario Kart wasn't a platformer and it transitioned into 3D. Mario Party isn't a platformer either. There have been only three 3D Mario platformers: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, though each had enough levels and challenge (120 stars in Mario gameplay) for players to accept the one game-per-console concept. 3D games were almost achieved with the Super Nintendo, but real 3D games were made in the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and Wii.
